Making a tangible difference in healthcare through equipment donations and student support
Since our founding, the 100 Mile District General Hospital Auxiliary has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical equipment, supporting both our local hospital and regional healthcare facilities. Our all-volunteer model means that 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to its intended purpose: better healthcare for our community.
in medical equipment and community support
Supporting regional healthcare by contributing to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. Many of our community members are referred there for specialized care, and we believe in supporting the facilities that serve our region.
Essential equipment for our acute care unit, these specialized carts enable efficient and organized blood collection services. They improve both patient comfort and healthcare worker efficiency by keeping all necessary supplies organized and readily accessible.
Advanced electrosurgical equipment for our surgery department. This precision instrument assists surgeons in cauterizing tissue and controlling bleeding during procedures, contributing to better surgical outcomes and patient safety.
Supporting senior care in our community by contributing to programs and equipment that enhance the quality of life for our elders. We recognize the importance of comprehensive healthcare that extends beyond hospital walls.
Investing in the future of healthcare is just as important as supporting current needs. Each year, we award a $500 bursary to a local student entering a health care-related post-secondary program. This support helps remove financial barriers and encourages young people to pursue careers in healthcare.
